HHI: Making Heart Health a Global Trend Through Education and Shareable Resources.

Heart Health Initiative: Making Heart Health a Global Trend Through Education and Shareable Resources.

Herbalife CoQ10 Plus
One of my life mottos is “be proactive.” That’s why I exercise, eat right, keep my stress levels low, and supplement with critical nutrients. And the motto extends to the formulation of products in the Herbalife cardio line—it’s part of why we added DHA and vitamin D to CoQ10 Plus.
CoQ10 helps support heart health by providing energy to heart cells and serves as a powerful antioxidant and free-radical scavenger. Taking just CoQ10 is great. But, at Herbalife, we wanted to give you the added benefit of two critical nutrients: vitamin D and DHA. Here’s a breakdown of why they’re so good for you.

Vitamin D3

The need for vitamin D is clear: according to research published in the journal Nutrition Research, over 40 percent of U.S. adults would benefit from higher levels of vitamin D. Along with supporting metabolism and bone health, the nutrient may also support healthy blood pressure levels and the health of the endothelium.*
If you’re not yet familiar with the endothelium, here’s a brief recap: The endothelium lines 100,000 miles of blood vessels and produces Nitric Oxide (NO), a critical molecule involved in regulating blood pressure and helping maintain cardiovascular wellness. A small study published in The Journal of Clinical Endocrinology and Metabolism found that replacing vitamin D in individuals who are deficient supports endothelial function, which is an exciting finding for anyone looking to support endothelial health. CoQ10 Plus contains 600 international units (IU) of vitamin D in every capsule.

DHA

DHA is an Omega-3 fatty acid that may support brain, eye and heart health.* In 2004, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a qualified health claim for Omega-3 fatty acids and reduced risk of coronary heart disease for conventional foods and dietary supplements that contain EPA and DHA Omega-3 fatty acidsand meet other requirements laid out by the FDA. CoQ10 Plus contains 100 milligrams (mg) of non-fish essential fatty acid DHA from algae.
By giving your heart ample nutrients through both diet and supplementation, you take a proactive role in your heart health. Supplementing with CoQ10 is a great start, but why not take a product that also contains vitamin D and DHA? That’s why I choose Herbalife CoQ10 Plus to support my heart.
How are you proactive in taking care of your health?
